I am a filmmaker and photographer living in North Carolina, but always a Texan. I am a story teller, using words and light and sound. I help people weave together stories, using different media and methods to communicate ideas and emotions. I’ve been on shrimp boats on the Texas gulf coast, ridden shotgun in a ’54 Cadillac, and hung lights outside an imaginary spaceship. I believe in the power of movies to make change in the world.
Filmmaking
My on set credits include grip, electrician, camera operator, and cinematographer. In post and I am editor and colorist I have worked on features, narrative and documentary, commercials, industrials, and social media content. I have experience with large crews, but also work with very small teams for fast and efficient project deliveries. Filmmaking is collaborative, and even as a one man band working for a client, I enjoy discovering what the core goals of a project are, and being a part of bringing it together.
Photography
A single still image has immense power. Sometimes a single image can convey more emotion than pages of text or hours of video and audio. From traditional head shots to environmental portraits and architectural photos., the still image is what a person wants to see when they want to look closer, whether a product or an old memory.
